Nate Lupi

Nate started playing the guitar when he was 10 years old and then began playing professionally at age 14. He quickly realized that the music industry would be his career of choice.  Since then, he has studied several genres of music on his own and at the Berklee College of Music.

 

Nate has recorded, composed and played live with bands from music genres of 80’s Pop to Classical. Notably, The Ohio Players, Gloria Estefan's Saxophone player, Kenny Anderson, the show opener for The O’Jays, and his own band. With his principal instrument being the guitar, Nate plays acoustic, electric, and classical guitar. He is also just as versatile on the piano and keyboard. Nate also plays the bass and the Dombyra from Kazakhtan. In a sense, he is a multi-instrumentalist. While on campus at Berklee, Nate learned how to play piano for writing music for films.

Nate began singing and writing original music as a teenager. Since then, he has released many instrumentals and songs in a variety of music types. Words from Dennis Montgomery III, a Berklee professor, “You have a great ear in music”. Nate has always been able to perform as a solo artist or in a full band and been able to fit in the mix of the song and or the whole show.

Nate enjoys recording various instruments. He is well-versed in mixing and mastering music. These combined skills and his enjoyment in performing led him to live music performance opportunities and competitions. Nate has represented the Northeast Ohio Blues Association at the International Blues Challenge, was a finalist in the Lee Ritenour Six String Theory Competition, the recipient of the Berklee Jack Peterson Spring Guitar Award March 2021, Guitarist for the Carole King Signature Series Tapestry Show 2021, Guitarist for the Gospel Extravaganza 2024 with the Overjoyed Ensemble, and the recipient of the NAMM Show President’s Innovation Award.
